Global Environment

By learning in a global environment, students don’t only learn to work with a foreign language, but effectively communicate through cultural differences. When you are around people from different cultures, you can no longer assume that they have the same background knowledge and experience. This requires adapting your mindset to appreciate cultural differences and explore ways that are mutually beneficial.

Learn By Doing

The only thing that can change our minds is going through something ourselves, and learning the hard way. We must employ active-learning strategies that go beyond the idea that the perfect presentation of the relevant facts will be enough to help the majority of students learn. This may work for a few, but for most, we need to shift our focus from what is being said to what it is they do, to learn through experience.

His personal life and formal education is enhanced through the knowledge and experience he acquired from interacting with diverse peoples and cultures while living and studying in international settings.

My Background

Goal

Industrial Design

I intend to graduate from college with a degree (BFA) in industrial design. This experience will be highly beneficial and rewarding for whatever I decide to do in life. I was accepted to study with a full four-year scholarship at California College of the Arts in San Francisco, California.

The world of Raymond Loewy

Industrial Design

Raymond Loewy in the 1930s helped to establish industrial design as a profession. His vision of beauty through the use of “streamlined,” highly functional forms shaped modern industrial design in the United States, and the images of his work permeated the nation’s lifestyle. Working closely with client engineers, he made notable designs for Studebaker automobiles, train locomotives and passenger cars for the Pennsylvania Railroad, and buses for Greyhound. He also made important contributions to the design of such products as electric shavers, toothbrushes, ballpoint pens, office machines, soft-drink bottles, radios, and packages, including that for Lucky Strike cigarettes. Perhaps his best-known design was that of the Coca-Cola bottle.

Beyond the Books

Children should be provided with ample opportunity to explore and learn. Through camps and local field trips with destinations overseas as well, our children learn to fly high and explore the world. Their active participation in disciplines that instill ‘Social Responsibility’ advances their awareness and deepens their sense of responsibility. Holistic learning must be at the core of their development.

Extra Curricular Activities
Plus Work Experience

Students studying under the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme are required to perform community service and also gain work experience. Na’il successfully completed these assignments by providing assistant teaching for children and gained work experience by volunteering at a local animal hospital.

Crystal Family Home

Crystal Family Home (CFH) is a non-profit voluntary welfare organization established by couple, Maya and Rajis, in 2009 to help children who need a home.

Penang Down Syndrome Association

Today, many kids with Down syndrome go to school, enjoy many the same activities as other kids their age, a few go on to college, and some are live semi-independent.

Windsor Animal Hospital

The hospital is staffed by a team of veterinary surgeons, laboratory technician, animal technicians and handlers who aim to provide the very best in pet care.

Uplands Primary Homework Club
