Taking on the World, One Step at a Time

Self-interest means different things for different people. For me it has more to do with personal development, maintaining a global vision and having the ability to express myself by demonstrating an abiding appreciation for a diverse humanity made possible through its oneness.

My aim is to keep awareness alive, stay active, acquire a spiritual perspective, seek virtuous beginnings to achieve positive outcomes, and always strive to expand my horizons.

Come, join me!

This house is located on the Langebaan Marine Protected Area, west of Langebaan Road, and at the north-end of West Coast National Park Marine Protected Area.  The Cape Dutch traditional architectural style found mostly in the Western Cape Province in South Africa.  The style has roots dating back to medieval Netherlands, Germany, France and Indonesia. The first building erected by the Dutch was the Castle of the Cape of Good Hope which was built as a five-rampart stone castle.  The architecture characteristics is that the buildings are long and horizontal structures, single or double-storey, and often have dormer windows.

I’ve hiked past this property on several occassions and the house was always vacant.  Then one day, on my return, I noticed a group of workers.  They said that they will spend time making repairs.  With their permission, I was allowed to enter the house and look around.  It was furnished in a conservative style with hewn wood furniture, being maintained very much in the early Dutch tradition.

Tips For Safety on Trails & Mountains

Hiking, climbing, or touring through the mountains to achieve amazing experiences and lasting impressions should only be the second most important point, the first being safety. This involves proper planning before the trip begins to help avoid potentially difficult unforeseen occurrences. You should always have the correct answers ready if faced with problem circumstances.
