Republic of Korea

South Korea was awarded the right to host the XXIV Olympiad Summer Olympics, an international multi-sport event celebrated from 17 September to 2 October 1988 in Seoul. When I arrived in Korea during May 1985, massive construction to host the event was well underway. The country had committed a vast amount of resources to ensure that their arrival on the world stage would be unblemished and their Olympics mascot, Hodori, provided assurance. The ‘coming out party’ was highly success and well received internationally. See Wikipedia.

Introduction

This website is designed to showcase my interests and participation in a wide variety of activities. It is continuly being updated.

Frends and others often ask about my background, and I find this site to be very convenient to fill them in because simply telling them about my experiences would take too long and be very boring.

More than 98% of the photographs posted were taken by me. Others are used to illustrate a particular point. I hope your perusal is an enjoyable one.
